Social Media Intern

How much magic can you create with an iPhone X? Do you curate your Instagram aesthetic to a state of perfection? Are you never not *doing it for the gram*? Can you name the top spots in the city of Toronto - think restaurants, bars, cafes, boutiques, murals - to snap the perfectly casual yet composed Instagram? You understand the power of Instagram in today’s retail marketing landscape and are ready to put your talents to work to create curated, live and ephemeral content to redefine the future of hospitality in North America. Digital Content Strategy 

  • Strategy + execution
  • Development of aspirational content narratives to capture and showcase
  • Restaurant ambiance across all day parts
  • Restaurant Team Members (FOH and BOH)
  • Guests and guest experience
  • Menu: front and back of house: preparation, serving, plating
  • Restaurant vibe / aesthetic
  • Look and feel * Creation of untraditional engaging social media content with diverse including but not limited too, Instagram stories, GIFs, Boomerangs

Digital Content Execution 

  • Create social media content, on site at CHG restaurants to inspire urgency to visit restaurants that provide genuine, inspired, and evolving culinary experiences.
  • iPhone-ography:Create capture and edit iconic social media content for eight unique restaurant brands: @thechase @thechasefo @plantatoronto @kasa_moto @plantaburger @eatpalmlane @colettegrandcafe @arthursrestaurant (and of course our parent account @chasehospitalitygroup) using only an iPhone
  • Independently shoot iconic social media content (main grid + stories!) on location at CHG restaurants under the direction of the Marketing Manager and Marketing Specialist
  • Copywriting
  • Support Marketing team to draft and copy check posts for all CHG social accounts

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • How you do anything is how you do everything attitude
  • Excel at curating a strong visual aesthetic
  • Self-starter
  • Look and feel
  • People person skills
  • Access to iPhone 7S or X
  • Flexible, 25 hours per week, some evenings and weekends required
  • Note this is a 4 month contract
